Coaching Vs Therapy
While therapy typically focuses on healing past wounds and addressing mental health issues, coaching is primarily future-oriented and action-focused. Therapy asks 'why' something happened, while coaching concentrates on 'how' to move forward.
As a coach, I help you develop strategies for reaching specific goals and improving performance. I don't diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Many clients find coaching and therapy complementary, and I'm happy to collaborate with your therapist if you're currently in treatment.
If, during our work together, I believe you might benefit from therapeutic support, I'll respectfully suggest this and can provide referrals to qualified professionals.
